Ohr Torah Cincinnati is interviewing Montessori-credentialed (AMS, AMI, MACTE)
candidates for a full-time Lower Elementary teaching (6 years – 9 years) position
beginning August 2019. The ideal candidate has experience working in a Montessori
Lower Elementary classroom, is exemplary in their application of the Montessori
methodology, preparing the environment to meet students’ needs and interests, and
possessing strong interpersonal skills. A candidate should be willing to partner in a
co-teaching partnership and be capable of preparing a differentiated Montessori
curriculum in a nurturing, joyful, inspiring environment.
Essential qualifications: creative, energetic, positive/upbeat, warm and nurturing
personality and strong organization skills. Additional needs of this position are the
ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with all stakeholders (children,
parents, co-workers and administrators). We desire a candidate that has:
been trained in Orton Gillingham method,
has a reading endorsement or
a master’s degree in reading or literacy.
